FEE Questions

My fees are: $190 for a 55-minute individual therapy session; $235 for an 80-minute individual therapy intensive; and $150 for couple’s* therapy. You can pay by debit or credit card; or flexible spending account (“FSA”) or health savings account (“HSA”) cards. My fee not only covers our time together but contact we have out of session; research; finding you resources and referrals; and coordinating good communication between myself and anyone else in your treatment team (like a psychiatric prescriber or medical specialist).

Not at this time, although I am investigating options for the future. What I can do right now is help you navigate whether you have any out of network (“OON”) benefits that might reimburse you; how much you might get reimbursed; and the pros and cons to paying for therapy out of your pocket. I personally know and believe that the work of healing, growing, and changing is invaluable, and also: in this economy? I want to inform and empower you to make the right choice for yourself.

If you have out of network (“OON”) benefits, a superbill is the format most health insurers typically require for reimbursement. It’s essentially a detailed invoice that also includes codes specific to health insurance billing. I provide superbills, so all you need to do is ask me for them at the frequency that works for you or is required by your health insurer.

I do my best to practice a social work that centers justice, equity, and accessibility. A sliding scale means that I may decrease my fee to offer services more affordably to a client or clients. I cannot guarantee my sliding scale will always be available, but I will always be clear and transparent with you.

The No Surprises Act of 2022 requires healthcare providers to provide a good faith estimate of how much their services will cost when a client does not have or is not using insurance. You have the right to a good faith estimate from me at least 1 business day prior to our first appointment. If you want to learn more, you can peep how I handle good faith estimates or check out this Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ resource.
