Your Right to a

Good Faith Estimate

Any client working with me has the right to receive "a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental healthcare will cost. The No Surprises Act of 2022 requires healthcare providers to give an estimate of the bill for medical items or services to patients who don’t have insurance or aren’t using their insurance. Your Good Faith Estimate covers the total expected cost for any non-emergency items or services, which will most often be the cost of our regular appointments. The No Surprises Act protects you by enabling you to dispute any bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate.

Should you work with me, you will receive your Good Faith Estimate in your intake paperwork. You are entitled to receive your Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day prior to our first appointment. You can also ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment at any point during therapy. I recommend all clients save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate. It will also be available on the secure client portal.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ resource on ending surprise medical bills or reach out to me directly at info@tgt-therapy.com.
