Consultation and Training

The Golden Thread Therapy is delighted to offer consultation for other clinicians. In addition to my experiences as a social worker in hospital; clinic; and higher education settings, I also had a few previous lives in welfare policy; welfare application and technical assistance; Medicaid and Medicare; and the integration of technology and sound data security practices in the service of everyday people. With over a decade of healthcare project management experience, I am highly skilled at weaving through organizations of all sizes and levels of functionality.

Additionally, I deeply enjoy creating and facilitating experiential trainings. I have worked consistently as a facilitator and trainer across all my roles, and supporting others in their learning turned out to be one of my favorite parts of all those jobs. My current areas of focus and expertise for trainings include:

• the material history of “mental health” and the helping professions;

• the material history of US health insurance;

• supporting clients with healthcare access barriers;

• “beyond the basics” of working with LGBTQ+ communities;

• tabletop roleplaying group therapy; and

• humility and competency in working with people with chronic illness or pain.
